A man has used his dying wish to make a heartfelt plea to his fellow Americans from the grave – don’t vote for Donald Trump.
According to the obituary published in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Jeffrey H. Cohen passed away unexpectedly at the age of 70.
The obituary is actually a pretty hilarious read – full of quips and jokes. It reveals: “[Jeffrey] took pride in being the only Jewish cowboy that he knew of.” Another passage tells us that his philosophy was “The meaning of life is OOPS!”
In an inspired and fitting tribute, the obituary finishes with the following sentiment:
Jeffrey would ask that in lieu of flowers, please do not vote for Donald Trump.
The obituary was written by one of Mr Cohen’s sons, New York City screenwriter Jason Brown:
My brother had found a similar request online about Hillary Clinton. We said we knew what we should put for dad. To him, it would be the perfect joke.
According to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Mr Brown didn’t know who his father voted for, he was just pretty certain he wasn’t Republican – and certainly not in favour of Donald Trump.
Mr Brown added:
He felt a lot of the candidates this year were pretty [far] out there with the things they’re saying and the strategies they’re putting forth, and so silly.
He would read articles about the candidates and just laugh.
The billionaire real estate mogul/loud-mouthed shit-siren Trump is currently leading the Republican polls and his bold, blunt statements during the campaign have mystified most right-minded people while somehow attracting many others.
