During their press conference last night, EA gave us our first glimpse at a proper story mode being introduced to FIFA, called ‘The Journey’.
The new single player campaign will put you in the shoes of Alex Hunter, a whippersnapper whose dream it is to make it big in the Premier League.
As Alex, we’ll witness the twists and turns of life as a rookie footballer, making his way through the ranks to become the very best, like no-one ever was. Wait that’s a different game.
It’s not yet clear how the single player portion of the game will play out, whether you’ll get to make decisions behind-the-scenes or whether everything will be decided on the pitch. One thing we do know for sure, is that FIFA 17 will be running on EA’s Frostbite engine, so it’s going to look pretty gorgeous, whatever happens.
FIFA 17 will release on all platforms in the UK on September 29.
