Ed Sheeran pretty much proved himself to be the ultimate wingman when he helped his Kodaline friend propose to his girlfriend on stage at Dublin’s Croke Park.
The band’s bassist Jason Boland got down on one knee in front of 80,000 fans to pop the question to his childhood sweetheart Etaoin Corr.
Ed set up the awesome moment when he told the crowd, “Jason, you’ve got something to say?”
And, much to the relief of Jay (and no doubt all the fans watching the moment live), after he told Etaoin he couldn’t imagine another day without her, she said yes!

Jay is the second member of the band to get engaged, after drummer Vinny May proposed to his girlfriend Carina Elliott in New York last year.
Dublin band Kodaline joined Ed on stage to sing a few songs as surprise support at the second of his two sold-out Croke Park gigs on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, Sheeran had teased the evening’s big romantic moment on Twitter:
Something planned for tonight you won't expect

And it didn’t disappoint! The 24-year-old later tweeted his congratulations for the happy couple after the show:
Thank you to Kodaline and Glen Hansard for joining me on stage today to sing some tunes. And congratulations to Jay, what a way to propose !

And playing Cupid is becoming a bit of a running theme for our Ed – just last week he invited Rixton singer Jake Roche on stage in Manchester to pop the question to Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson.
