An elephant in the province of Yunnan, southern China, went on a rampage after a failed attempt to mate.
According to the NY Daily News, officials have said the animal wandered off a nature reserve before damaging at least 12 cars.
Despite reports that hundreds gathered to watch, and that one family was still in their car as it was charged into, nobody was hurt during the 20 minute spectacle.
Well, it’s never nice for a relationship to fall apart, but shortly before Valentine’s Day has really got to sting.
The Daily reported a government official as saying:
The tourists were quite excited to see a real wild elephant, and they were using their cellphones to take photos and videos. Even the owners of some damaged cars found the experience to be thrilling and very interesting, although their cars got scraped.
The government has allegedly promised to compensate the owners of the damaged cars.
The poor fella just needs a positive outlet to relieve his stress. Sport perhaps?
