With less than a month to go until Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits cinemas and takes us all to a galaxy far far away, a new TV spot in America’s revealed more jaw-dropping action.
In the clip a Storm Trooper proves that although they may not be the best shots in the galaxy they’re capable of going head to head with our new heroes, taking on Finn (John Boyega) and his lightsabre with an awesome looking sword thing.
New fan favourite BB-8 proves that he’s not an R2-D2 rip off, by showing off some new moves and overcoming a bit of a design flaw.
We also get another look at Harrison Ford’s Han Solo, and the dramatic moment that the New Order reveal their armada of TIE-Fighters.
The new clip also has a nice little wink and a nod to the original Star Wars, with the Resistance fighter Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) telling X-Wing Red and Blue Squads to take his lead.
We also see someone looking an awful lot like Nien Nunb from Return Of The Jedi and an as-yet-unknown female X-Wing pilot.
The clip, which aired overnight on the American Music was part of a tribute to Star Wars theme composer John Williams.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens has already broken box office records despite not even being released yet, and will hit cinemas on December 17.
Best of all there’s not a sight or sound of the dreaded Jar-Jar Binks.
More of a concept than a journalist, Tom Percival was forged in the bowels of Salford University from which he emerged grasping a Masters in journalism.
Since then his rise has been described by himself as ‘meteoric’ rising to the esteemed rank of Social Editor at UNILAD as well as working at the BBC, Manchester Evening News, and ITV.
He credits his success to three core techniques, name repetition, personality mirroring, and never breaking off a handshake.
