Fallout 4 To Get VR Expansion Plus Tons Of New DLC

Fallout 4 fans rejoice, because Bethesda have announced three new pieces of DLC heading to the game, including a brand new expansion. Oh yeah, and Fallout 4 VR. No biggie.

During their E3 press conference, Bethesda confirmed that a version of Fallout 4 would be heading to the HTC Vive at some point in the murky future, with a release window of ‘2017’. You can check out the full conference below.

Other than that, we have no news on what to expect from a VR version of the game, but it’ll be interesting to see how Bethesda tackle it. Despite the game never actually being designed for VR, the use of the Pip-Boy for one thing does feel like a natural fit for the Vive’s motion controls.

In other Fallout 4 news, the Contraptions Workshop will come next week, and will allow you to build things like weapons and armour racks, conveyor belts and other general contraptions. Home sweet home.

July will see the Vault-Tec Workshop come our way, and will focus on letting us build deep underground and make our own vaults. Sounds pretty awesome.

Aside from these two, we’re also getting a sizeable expansion called Nuka World, which will apparently be based on a dilapidated theme park (go figure) that’s been taken over by a big group of naughty bandits. Not many details have been released about Nuka World, but it’s thought to be similar in size to the more recent expansion, Far Harbour.

So we didn’t get Fallout 5 or The Elder Scrolls VI like many had hoped, but all things considered, this isn’t too bad. Until next year!
