Fallout has long been a franchise with music at its heart. Any wasteland adventurer worth his or her salt knows how important it is to get amped up with a good track before going outside your vault, that’s just good exploring.
Luckily, the composer for Fallout 4‘s main theme, Inon Zur, has shown off his creation by playing it as a solo piece on the piano – and it’s breathtaking.
Zur – whose previous works include scoring the likes of Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisition – explains that he often wonders around his garden hitting things with a hammer, using a cello bow on garden furniture and says “I cruelly exploit the piano by hitting the strings with open hands and even bite the strings.” Fair enough.
Bethesda have uploaded the main Fallout 4 theme to soundcloud as a full orchestral piece which you can checkout in a blog post here or watch the YouTube video below.
