Fan Made Fallout TV Show Gets Awesome Pilot Episode

A group of immensely talented fans have put together a pilot for the live action Fallout TV show I never knew I needed.

Fallout: Revelation debuted during San Diego Comic Con, and is billed as the beginning of a series set in Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic universe.

MechanicalCakeTV are the group behind this sterling effort. The quality is honestly so high (for the most part) that you could be forgiven for mistaking it for an actual studio funded series.

While a Fallout movie would probably be awesome, suddenly the idea of a TV series makes so much more sense to me – the scope and depth of the Fallout universe affords endless characters and stories that would thrive in a serialised format.

You can watch the first part of the pilot – directed by Jesse Negron – just below. I’d assume since it’s billed as 1/3, there’s more to come – but I haven’t seen anything yet.

To be clear, this project has nothing to do with Bethesda, so it’s unlikely to ever show up on a major network or Netflix.

With that said, I’d be one hundred percent behind these guys if they wanted to put together an unofficial web series. This is so well made, and so visually in line with the Fallout games that it’s pretty hard not to want more.

If Bethesda ever does decide to produce a Netflix show (and they should), then they should definitely give the guys behind Fallout: Revelation a call.
