Doom and Goldeneye. Are there two better examples of 90’s FPS perfection than those games? I’m not sure there is.
Never in my dizziest daydreams did I think that anyone would ever attempt to combine the two, but that’s exactly what ModDb’s member ‘demo_the_doomer’ has gone and done.
He’s currently “de-making” Goldeneye in the original Doom, and there’s even a demo for you to try out right here that boasts the first level and four weapons.
You can watch a video of the mod in action below. I don’t know whether or not to get nostalgic for Doom, Goldeneye, or both. It’s too much for my heart to take.
The mod is also set to feature comic book style cutscenes, reworked levels, more classic Bond one liners, and loads more cool shit. Let’s hope our intrepid modder gets it done soon.
