An insurance company has estimated the fictional damage caused by the Fast & Furious Crew and it is expensive to say the least.

The long-running franchise has been a staple in Hollywood blockbuster films for 16 years now and during that time they’ve caused a hell of a lot damage to cars and property – and some cases each other.

In the real world there’s no way they would’ve gotten so far as to three films, by that time they’ed either be broke or in jail due to the numerous violations they’ve caused. Now insurance site InSureTheGap have estimated that the FF crew have at least caused a total of £419,446,914 worth of damage.

Damn that’s a lot of money!

Over the previous eight films they have destroyed 31 buildings and totalled 37 ‘special vehicles’ along with 142 regular-arse cars. In total they’ve caused damage to at least 432 items. The most expensive thing the crew have fucked up is W Motors’ Lykan Hypersport from Furious 7.

If you remember, Vin Diesel’s and the late Paul Walker’s characters, Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Conner, drive the luxury sports car through three buildings, before parking it on a 50 ft drop to ground. In the real world that little stunt would’ve cost them well-over £2.7 million pounds.

Unsurprisingly despite being the heroes of the franchise, Dom’s crew are responsible for than half the damaged caused, according to InSureTheGap they’ve racked up over £261 million between them in damages compared to the villains £158 million. Proving that they do more harm than good.

As if you didn’t know already, main characters Brian and Dom are the two biggest culprits creating more property and vehicle damage than anyone in their crew.

Expect the insurance price to go up even higher as the ninth installment, Fast & Furious 8, (yes, we’re confused too) will be hitting cinema’s on April 12 in the UK.
