The newest trailer for Alien: Covenant burst out of YouTube’s chest last night and looks to be taking the much maligned Alien franchise back to its horror roots.
Following on from the unfairly maligned Prometheus visionary Ridley Scott is back in the director’s chair with a far more conventional looking Alien movie than his last ambitious project.
Basically it looks terrifying, but don’t take our word for it check it out here…
This time we join the crew of the colony ship Covenant, a crew conspicuously made up of couples, and their android friend Walter (Michael Fassbender) who seems to be the same model as David from Prometheus.
Cruising through the stars they eventually stumble across a world that seems like paradise until they find themselves hunted by monstrous creatures, that we have a sneaking suspicion may be the titular alien.
Sorry for the spoilers…
Alien: Covenant will be terrorising audiences in the UK on May 12 before the parasitical alien makes his way across the pond to the U.S. on May 19.
