They were pretty popular at the start of the year and it’s lead to fidget spinners becoming 2017’s fourth most searched term on Google.

Google has revealed its most popular search terms in the UK for the year and it makes for some interesting reading.

It’s also released its ‘Year in Search’ for the UK, for all sorts of categories, including top trending, ‘How to…?’, ‘What is…’, news events, people, recipes, sporting events, TV and film, UK number one singles and Premier League teams.

Prince Harry’s fiance Meghan Markle topped two categories this year – top trending overall and top trending people.
