Prepare to be excited – the cast and crew of Game of Thrones have just unveiled a preview of 2017’s episodes.
The eagerly anticipated Game of Thrones’ season seven is still a year away – but in the meantime this new teaser could be the perfect cure for your off-season blues.
HBO has released the clip which shows the production team hard at work crafting the world of Westeros in various locations ranging from Spain to Iceland, reports Digital Spy.
The new footage – released during a Comic-Con International panel – is probably the only glimpse we’ll get of the next seven-episode series until promo work goes into overtime next summer.
Speaking about the upcoming season, Casey Bloys, president of HBO programming, said:
Now that winter has arrived on Game of Thrones, executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss felt that the storylines of the next season would be better served by starting production a little later than usual, when the weather is changing.
Instead of the show’s traditional spring debut, we’re moving the debut to summer to accommodate the shooting schedule.
And the show could head into season seven with a hoard of Emmys under its belt.
GOT earned an unbelievable 23 nominations – with Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey and Maisie Williams all competing for the Outstanding Supporting Actress (Drama) category.
So, as Daenerys Targaryen and her alliance finally make their move on Westeros. will they or the Starks be able to seize power from Cersei?
We’ll just have to wait and see…
