The trailer for Rocky spin-off ‘Creed’ has just dropped and it shows that there may still be life in the franchise yet.
In the movie, Michael B. Jordan plays Adonis Creed (great name) the son of Apollo Creed, Rocky Balboa’s long-time rival.
The charismatic Apollo, played by Carl Weathers in the first four Rocky films, died in the ring at the hands of Russian juggernaut Ivan Drago in Rocky IV.
The younger Creed chooses to follow in his father’s footsteps, and Rocky (a returning Sylvester Stallone) is going to train him. Obviously.
With a fair few nods towards the other Rocky films and a compelling performance from lead Jordan, this trailer has got us excited to see more from the movie.
Creed hits screens on November 25 and this trailer makes us believe it could actually have a fighting chance at success!
