The first civilian victim of the London terror attack which shook Britain’s capital yesterday has been named as Aysha Frade.
Frade, a 43-year-old mother-of-two was tragically killed during the attack. It is believed she was on the way to pick up her children, aged just eight and 11, from school when the assailant struck.
Aysha was reportedly a Spanish language teacher at a 6th form college, DLD College London, located near Westminster Bridge, where the attack happened.
Part of the 43-year-old mum-of-two’s family hailed from Betanzos near the Galician city of La Coruna, reports the Daily Mail.
According to Spanish news reports, Aysha was born in Britain to a Cypriot father and married a Portuguese man, John Frade.
A Betanzos local councillor has today said:
Betanzos has suffered a terrible blow because of the scourge of terrorism. Our most sincere condolences to the family of Aysha, a woman originally form Betanzos murdered in London.
Aysha is the first civilian to be named as a victim of the attack. Three other civilians were also murdered, along with police officer Keith Palmer, 48, who was stabbed to death outside the palaces of Westminster.
It is thought that relatives of Aysha’s are travelling to London from Spain today.
