What do you get when you cross a Freddie Mercury birthday with a Foo Fighters gig? A fucking SUPER GROUP! Foo Fighters brought a rock ‘n’ roll fantasy to life during a gig over the weekend at the Milton Keynes National Bowl in Buckinghamshire, England.
The band brought John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin and Roger Taylor from Queen on stage to perform a cover of “Under Pressure”.
“Now look,” Grohl told the audience sitting atop his guitar throne. “I don’t know if y’all have ever seen a supergroup. This is a ‘super duper group.’ I don’t even know what to say because this kind of shit doesn’t happen every day.”
Taylor Hawkins performed the late Freddie Mercury’s vocals while Mr Grohl covered the Bowie parts.
