Footage has surfaced online showing what seems to be early work on a cancelled Elder Scrolls game destined for Sony’s PSP.
According to Redditor Morderax who uploaded the footage below to Reddit, the game was called Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion and dates back to between June 2006 and January 2007.
You may well be asking yourself, ‘okay cool, so what happened to this game?’ Well, according to the masterminds over at Unseen64 the game was aiming for a spring 2007 release, but was axed due to time and funding issues. Apparently, the game was to have in excess of 180 missions and would be set around the events of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Unseen64 explain a little about the game:
There was a hub world which contained various vendors, NPCs, and story characters, and players would have used a teleportation crystal to go to each of the explorable areas of the game. The hub world would change and react to the events that went on in each area
It’s a shame Travels never took off, because lord knows the PSP could have used some decent games.
