Are your spidey senses tingling?

Disclaimer: This footage is not for the faint-hearted, the arachnophobics or lovers of mice.

The short clip shows a Huntsman spider dragging its hefty prey – a mouse – up a fridge in Coppabella, Queensland, defying gravity and creeping everyone out.

Huntsman eating a mouse…
Probably a good time to burn the house…
Because Australia.

Australian-born Jason Womel uploaded the footage of the hungry arachnid to Facebook, where it was picked up and posted by the Aussie Off Roaders, ‘Because Australia’.

The entirely unphased Womel mused, ‘What’s he gonna do with him?’ before adding, ‘Man, that is so cool.’

Womel has since named the spider Hermie and, of his new pet, said:

We have adopted him and he is now running his own extermination business out of our town Coppabella.

Oh and he is now paying rent.

There is literally no amount of rent in the world that would make me welcome this murderous unit of a critter into my home.

Huntsman spiders are a harmless species of arachnid that can reach up to 15cm in length across their legs. They have eight eyes; all the better for the foraging predators to spot their prey.

Luckily for us Brits, the Huntsman is native to semi-tropical regions. Pray for Oz.
