PAA former member of the Pussycat Dolls has claimed the band was a front for a prostitution ring designed to make money and prey on young female performers.
Kaya Jones, 33, from Toronto, Canada, made the explosive accusations that date back a decade against the entertainment industry, saying it was complicit in the alleged drug and sexual abuse of the Pussycat Dolls.
Jones described how the Pussycat Dolls performers were ‘mentally broken’ at the hands of the abuse they suffered in a lengthy Twitter revelation:

Tried to silence us,made us stronger.Tried to drug us,but we were wide awake.Tried to blacklist us,but fans followed.We arent kids anymore [sic].
The children you messed with that survived the abuse, we are adults now.Are you ready old ones to fight?Cause you all are looking mighty old [sic].
PAThe unverified revelations come a fortnight after Jones attended the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas.
After the trauma, and sharing her accusations with Twitter, Kaya continued:
I finally feel the weight I’ve held in my heart lifted & mending. It’s been hard to hold lies in for people who broke me. No more.
I hope more women & men come out & share their abuse & pain. We must shine a light on this issue in the entertainment business.
PAThe founder and choreographer of the Pussycat Dolls, Robin Antin, blasted Jones’ assertions as ‘disgusting, ridiculous lies’. She told The Blast that Jones is ‘clearly looking for her 15 minutes’.
Antin went on to claim that Jones was never even a real member of the group, and had merely been one of many trial members who did not pan out.
After two years performing with the so-called Dolls, in 2005 Jones quit the best-selling girls’ group, which was assembled by Antin under a deal with Interscope Geffen A&M Records, and sold 53 million records worldwide before their breakup in 2010.
PAJones claims she has opened up to the entertainment press in the past but has been ignored by journalists in the thrall of Hollywood and music industry titans.
The allegations of sexual abuse at the hands of music execs came just days after rumours hit of a Pussycat Dolls reunion tour.

The unverified accusations are just the latest case of women in the public eye speaking out about alleged abuse they’ve suffered and the systematic sexism and sexual abuse apparently rife in the entertainment industry.
It is unclear at this stage whether Jones’ claims are being investigated but if there is any truth to what she says, it will surely force the music industry to regulate its treatment of artists and be held accountable.
