According to reports by the ministry the first target that was destroyed was a command post, where Isis were running a recruitment centre and their arms and munition depot. The second target to be destroyed was a “terrorist training camp”.

The operation was conducted in co-ordination with US forces and shortly after the raid, the French air force released footage of planes taking off for their bombing mission.

An anti-Isis activist group, Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently have said that no civilians were killed or injured in the French bombing raids, after speaking to contacts in local hospitals.
