A retriever who is helping the Mexican Navy search through rubble finding survivors has already saved the lives of 12 people in the aftermath of this week’s deadly earthquake.
Frida was sent out to rescue people in life-threatening situations after an 7.1 magnitude earthquake earlier this month but now she’s hard at work again trying to save people trapped after Tuesday’s earthquake which killed ‘at least 245 people and injured more than 2,000’.
This week’s work has taken the number of people Frida has saved to 53.
After seeing her pictures on social media, people around the world have been thanking Frida, who works for the Mexican Navy’s (SEMAR) Canine Unit, for her hard work.

Rescuers are currently racing against time to get to survivors who are trapped under the rubble of a collapsed school in Mexico City.
One of the survivors trapped is a 13-year-old girl, is believed to be sheltering under a table, officials told the BBC.
Reports say at least 21 children and five adults have died in the primary school collapse while many others are still missing.
Our thoughts are with everybody affected.
