Some brutal new footage for the Friday the 13th videogame was shown off during PAX East, and has now been shared online for you to enjoy.
There are two videos. The first showcases the game’s “stealth element” which seems to consist of hiding under a bed and breathing really loudly till Jason comes over and twats you with an axe.
The second video gives you a glimpse at one of the many, many grisly ways that Jason can kill. It involves a door and a head. It isn’t pleasant. You can watch both videos at the bottom of this article, if you’re feeling brave.
Developer Gun Media also announced that the crowdfunded game is adding a new map from the movies. Higgins Haven is set on the shores of Crystal Lake, and was seen in Friday the 13th: Part III (1982) and Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984).
For those who might not know, Friday the 13th is a 7 v 1 survival horror game in which a group of teens have to try and survive against Jason. As you would expect, our Jason has the distinct advantage (as evidenced below).
Friday the 13th is currently scheduled to launch around October 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Fingers crossed they get it out on time, because it’s looking like the ultimate Halloween night gaming experience.
