The season ended with him seemingly dead lying in the snow, but most are confident the hero will feature in new episodes after being resurrected – and their suspicions may have just been confirmed.

During a recent interview, cast member Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos Seaworth) may have let slip details about a key scene from the season six premiere, reports International Business Times.

He told the Daily Express:

The first episode to kick off with [Melisandre] – without saying anything again – is astonishing. There’s absolutely amazing stuff coming up, just so left of field.

Although this on its own doesn’t confirm that Jon Snow will return, there have been other hints from cast and crew members which seem to point in that direction.

Actress Carice Van Houten who plays Melisandre has also hinted that something ‘spectacular’ will happen on the show when it returns.

In an interview with The New Daily she said:

You’ve seen her (Melisandre) clock Jon Snow, which is a great ending because you think, ‘Uh oh, what’s going to happen there’?

You feel that she is concentrating more and more towards Jon Snow. There are slight hints that something’s going to happen.

When pressed on whether the ‘something’ would be Jon Snow’s miraculous return at the hands of Melisandre’s magic, Van Houten gave a cryptic response:

I was doing ADR [a dubbing process] the other day. The producer was there and he was saying something that I’ve heard before, which is quite spectacular, for next year, which I really can’t say anything about.

The suspense is too much…
