A gang in Germany have done the unthinkable and made off with a massive 20 tonnes of Nutella – as well as a cheeky haul of Kinder Eggs.
Now I know a lot of people I could point the finger at for being potentially involved in something like this, but I don’t think any of them were in the country at the time.
Officers investigating said a lorry had to have been involved in the theft Police because of the sheer amount taken.
According to the Telegraph, a police statement has asked for anyone who’s been offered ‘large quantities of chocolate via unconventional channels’ to report it immediately.
The stash of chocolatey goodness, worth between €50,000 and €70,000, was stolen sometime between Saturday evening and midday on Sunday.
Police are still unsure whether the theft was pre-planned or if it was a spur-of-the-moment crime.
Last week, there was another chocolate-related crime in Germany after 53g of chocolate, which was presumed to be stolen and dumped, was found.
Chocolate thieves are on the loose.
