A picture is worth a thousand words, the old adage goes.
But when Serena Caballero edited this photograph of herself with her former best friend, the message was clearer than any cut-and-dry written hypothesis you could hope to read.
The 18-year-old from Texas thought of a very tangible way to let her mate know she was cut out of her life; by literally cutting her out of this photograph.
In the most millennial form of rejection, Serena shared the before and after photograph on Twitter, once she had crudely cut her mate out using Microsoft Paint… after all, Photoshop is expensive.
She captioned the tweet, ‘y’all ever stop fw someone but like the way YOU looked in the pic… so you gotta…’
Caballero told BuzzFeed News:
I was just laughing the whole time I was trying to draw half a car.
Twitter has responded to her hilariously harsh treatment accordingly.
Some have praised her candour and some have given Caballero a taste of her own Photoshop medicine.
Others shared their own attempts at ghosting their pals.
One wrote, ‘I aspire to be this petty’ in a damning indictment of Serena’s savage but hilariously executed upload.
Welcome to modern friendships, folks.
