Glee star, Mark Salling, has died from an apparent suicide aged 35, according to law enforcement.

According to TMZ, Salling’s body was found close to where he lived by the Los Angeles River in Sunland.

The Glee actor, who played Noah Puckerman on the hit TV show, was awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to possession of over 50,000 child pornography images.

The pornography is said to have included images of pre-pubescent minors.

Back in August, Salling is thought to have attempted suicide in the aftermath of his arrest, however his lawyer denied the claims.

It was thought Salling would serve between four and seven years in jail for his crimes and would’ve had to register as a sex offender.

Salling was also banned from coming within 100 feet of schoolyards, parks, playgrounds, public swimming pools and video arcade venues.

Authorities were given a tip-off about Salling by a woman who reported the actor to the police when he showed her his collection on at least two occasions.

The thousands of images and videos were downloaded between April and December 2015.

Using software to mask his IP address, no one knew about the pornography until the tip-off.

Shockingly, back in 2011, Roxanne Gorzela claimed the actor forced her into having unprotected sex. She also said when she confronted him several days later, he forced her to the ground injuring her knees.

This case only came to a close when the actor and Gorzela reached a $2.7 million settlement.

It’s thought Gorzela is the woman who tipped off the police about Salling’s child porn collection.
