Gorgeous First Footage Of Witcher 3’s Blood And Wine DLC Surfaces

By :

We’ve finally been given our first look at Witcher 3’s Blood and Wine expansion in action – and it’s nothing short of beautiful.

The footage has surfaced online courtesy of TVGRYpl, and shows off a good 20 minutes of monster slaying and exploration.

It’s no secret that Witcher 3 was one of the best games (if not the best) of 2015. Its richly populated world, slick visuals, and gripping story made it a standout adventure that raised the bar for Western RPGs.

The first expansion, Hearts of Stone, was released back in October and focused on Geralt’s continued adventures in Velen as he searched for the mysterious Man of Glass.

That was awesome, but Blood and Wine is the one to watch, without a doubt. Not only is it the final expansion for Witcher 3, but it’s also absolutely massive.

Geralt’s final mission is set in an entirely new region called Toussaint, which is roughly the same size as some of the larger regions from the base game.

The official synopsis for the expansions reads:

For the last time become professional monster slayer Geralt of Rivia and explore Toussaint, a remote land untouched by war, where you will unravel the horrifying secret behind a beast terrorizing the kingdom. Blood and Wine is a 30+ hour adventure full of dark deeds, unexpected twists, romance and deceit.

Check out the footage below, and get ready to devote even more of your life to the world of Witcher.

A recent leak on Steam suggests that Blood and Wine will be coming May 31, though developer CD Projekt Red have yet to confirm this.
