Gospel Radio Station Randomly Decides To Play Drake Songs 24/7

A gospel radio station in Northern California has baffled listeners by making the rather random decision to start playing nothing but Drake songs every day, and nobody seems to know why.

The network has suddenly been renamed Drake 92.7, and Drizzy fans in Charlotte are no doubt very happy as the Toronto rapper’s tunes have been played non-stop since Friday.

And this is no accident. The radio station actually announced and promoted the change on their Twitter and Instagram pages, plus listeners can call in and request tracks from the artist’s extensive back catalogue (and, yes, songs he’s guested/featured on count too).

Some are wondering if Drake himself might have bought the station, although that seems unlikely because his Canadian citizenship would probably prevent him from doing so. Plus, he already has his own OVO Sound Radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1.

Of course, there’s always the chance that it’s just been taken over by an overenthusiastic Drake fan.

However, 24 Urban reckon that 92.7 is set to become a new hip-hop station which is using the Drake take-over as a marketing tool. Whatever the truth, California is the place to be right now if you need your Drizzy fix!
