Everyone has their own trick for curing a hangover – be it eating copious amounts of junk food or just lying in bed crying for a few hours – but a new specialised clinic in Australia could clear your head within just half an hour.
It’s pretty exciting news, quite frankly, and we’re actually stunned it’s taken this long for our Aussie cousins to set up a hangover clinic.
The new clinic in Sydney offers a variety of specialised treatments to help those who’ve had one too many the night before, bounce back.
The hangover cures don’t come cheap though, unfortunately. For an IV drip and vitamin cocktail, you’ll have to shell out $140 (£66).
And, if you’re really having a bad time of it, you can drop $200 (£95) for a one-hour treatment of two litres of hydration drip, oxygen therapy and lots of lovely vitamins.
So it’s safe to say these guys don’t subscribe to the fast food or hair of the dog methods!
Speaking to 3 News, the Hangover Clinic’s Rod Lang said:
As we all know, some hangovers can be terrible and some people can’t even get out of bed. Having intravenous fluids, that can have benefits. As for having something like Maccas, that can be debated and that’s something that I wouldn’t be recommending.
Apparently doctors assess each patient before treatment to make sure they get the true care they need.
Despite the steep prices, it sounds like a game changer to us. Now we just need some bright spark to bring one of these awesome clinics to the UK. Preferably before our Christmas party!
