Well technically he didn’t say hold the dead rodent…
Matt Jones and his friend are men with simple needs. One of these needs, is to have a succulent Italian sub with extra spinach. Unfortunately, the pair from Lincoln City, Oregon found a dead rodent in their Subway, nestled among the other ingredients.
In a state of bewilderment, Matt and his mate showed the manager their extra meaty surprise, and were immediately offered a full refund, but not before taking a picture of the poor little guy in his sandwich tomb.
Matt took to Facebook and said:
Look at this beast of a mouse in the spinach at Subway today! Good thing we didn’t bite into it! AMAZING! WTF!! The manager was in shock!
Subway were also quick to release a statement on the incident:
As soon as the customer alerted the owner about what happened, they were immediately given a full refund and an investigation was launched. To be cautious, all of the products in the sandwich unit were disposed of and a thorough cleaning took place, in which the Health Department gave the restaurant a clean bill of health. There were no other complaints made and this was an isolated incident.
Like Matt said, it’s a good job they opened the sandwich up before taking a juicy bite into the dead rodent. Check your food people, there could be a mouse in your sandwich having a crack at your cheese.
