Prince Harry and fiance Meghan Markle made their first public official public engagement together when somebody in the crowd asked a cheeky question referring to his hair.

Excited crowds cheered on as the couple greeted the public ahead of a visit to a World Aids Day charity fair, while doing the rounds, he was asked: ‘How does it feel being a ginger, with Meghan?’

Apparently insinuating: ‘How did you manage that?’

His reaction?

The prince replied:

It’s great isn’t it? Unbelievable.

Here’s a look at the incredible moment:

The man who asked the question? A fellow redhead: 20-year-old Niall Reason who was out and about shopping for a new suit, writes the Nottingham Post.

He told the local paper:

I did not know what time they were coming and I was not that interested. I went to the city to get a new suit to start a new job and as I was walking down to my car I heard the police say ‘they are here soon’.

I know of Meghan Markle. I am a big fan of Suits and thought I’d grab a glimpse of her. I made my way down and everyone was saying ‘congratulations’ and I just thought ‘I am quite comical’ and I said – how does it feel to be ginger with Meghan Markle.

Even his brother, William has previously had a pop at him for having ginger hair.

Remember this classic interview clip from 2009?:

Harry and Meghan announced their engagement on Monday, with Kensington Palace revealing the royal wedding will take place in spring next year.

In an official statement, the palace revealed the couple will be married at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in May, before Parliament came in and said the nation wouldn’t be getting that extra bank holiday they’d been hoping for.

Kensington Palace also announced the wedding will be paid for by the royal family.

The statement read:

The marriage of His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle will take place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle in May 2018.

Her Majesty the Queen has granted permission for the wedding to take place at the Chapel.

The Royal Family will pay for the wedding.

Further details about the wedding will be announced in due course.

The first photos of the happy couple surfaced after a photo call at The Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace set up to officially announce their engagement on Monday.

In an interview, Prince Harry was asked when he knew Meghan was the one he was going to marry, to which he replied: ‘The very first time we met.’

Cute.

Meghan’s parents are also extremely happy for her daughter, and wished the couple a ‘lifetime of happiness’, adding:

We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry. Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person.

To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents.

No precise date has been announced for the wedding just yet.
