Everybody knows it can be tricky to make time for a quick drink with friends when you’re in a relationship.
Especially when you’ve promised your partner that you definitely, on pain of death, won’t go out for a few scoops after work. But one genius may have cracked a way to sneak a cheeky pint.
Using nothing but a few coats and his imagination this guy managed to convince his girlfriend he was tucked up in bed rather than down the pub with his friends, The Mirror reports.

While we can’t say with any certainty why exactly he had to pretend he was in bed, we can wildly speculate – so he’d either told her he was staying in or was ducking out of taking her out by pretending to be skint. It is January after all and we’re all penniless.
Also, while lying to your girlfriend regularly is something we don’t recommend, we have to praise the bloke’s ingenuity. It could look like a bed, although I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bed with pillows that look like the inside of a coat.
To be honest, I’m betting the girlfriend wasn’t convinced for a minute and if she was then having the Snapchat go viral means she definitely doesn’t believe him now.
The post sparked some debate online about the state of this bloke’s relationship….

Of course blokes aren’t the only ones to have pulled this particular scam…

As genius as this is, surely it goes without saying that being honest with your partner is the easier solution to this problem.
Especially if you or your pals are going to share it on social media.
More of a concept than a journalist, Tom Percival was forged in the bowels of Salford University from which he emerged grasping a Masters in journalism.
Since then his rise has been described by himself as ‘meteoric’ rising to the esteemed rank of Social Editor at UNILAD as well as working at the BBC, Manchester Evening News, and ITV.
He credits his success to three core techniques, name repetition, personality mirroring, and never breaking off a handshake.
