What would you do if you were accidentally invited to a complete stranger’s stag party?
Of course, many of us would just ignore it. Or else panic and make some awkward, jokey apology before getting a weird and unnecessary sense of FOMO.
This is clearly not the style of Will Novak, a plucky man from Phoenix, Arizona, who accidentally got invited along to a stag do – or Bachelor party as they’re known in the US – on account of an email typo.
Seizing the day, 35-year-old Will – who knew absolutely nothing about the groom, Angelo, decided it’d be fun if he tagged along, despite knowing absolutely none of the stags.
Turns out, he was right.
Motivated by wanting to learn to ski, and to make some new mates, Will raised an impressive $4,375 through a GoFundMe page; allowing him the funds to attend the Vermont-based bachelor party.
Writing on his GoFundMe page, Will relayed the hilarious response he’d sent to the email chain he was never even supposed to be a part of:
All,
I do not know who Angelo is. I am a Will Novak who lives in Arizona. Vermont seems like a very far way for me to travel for the bachelor party of a guy I’ve never met.
That being said: fucking count me in! From the contents of this email, Angelo sounds tremendous and I want to help send him off in style. I hope his bride (or groom) to be, is awesome.
I should note that being a desert dweller, I’ve only been skiing once and I was real bad at it. I hope you all are patient with me on the slopes. In exchange for said patience, I can bring my sweet Nintendo Switch so we can play games in the cabin/chalet/whatever in the evenings.
If Angelo isn’t into video games I’m happy to bring suduko puzzles or just Indian Leg Wrestle or whatever he likes.
We went to bed at 530am. It’s 948am now and we’re starting to wake up.#AngelosBachelorParty is kicking my ass already

After making the 2,500 mile trip for some fun in the snow with his new friends, turns out Will had a brilliant time.
As reported by USA Today, the ‘raucous’ party didn’t hit the hay until 5:30 a.m. the first night.
Somewhat adorably, Angelo and his bride-to-be are expecting their first child and some of the GoFundMe money will reportedly go to them.
Looks like this group have found themselves a fun and generous new friend!
