A young man who was caught on camera beating up an OAP and then attacking a shop worker with a samurai sword reportedly blamed his actions on ghosts.

Jovaughn Walker, 22, left an elderly man badly beaten and nearly sliced a shop worker to pieces while on a violent rampage in Broward County, Florida, the Mirror reports.

Walker’s violent spree began when he stole a truck from a driver who had stopped at a junction. He’s said to have put the man in a headlock before fleeing with this vehicle.

Walker then turned up at Laderhill Shell petrol station and began to intimidate an old man, following him inside the shop and producing a metal rod.

He smacked the rod against the man’s head before an elderly woman intervened, stopping him from killing the 82-year-old, who is clearly bleeding. The man reportedly suffered facial cuts that required 18 stitches.

An hour later, the suspect then walked into a flea market, got his hands on a three foot samurai sword and swung the weapon at a shop clerk, nearly killing him.

He slashed the victim at least eight times, even hitting him as he was lying on the ground. The man later told police Walker was “trying to kill [him].”

Strangely, Walker allegedly tried to blame the incident on being haunted by poltergeists, insisting he wanted to ‘kill all that was evil.’

Walker was later arrested on charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery, carjacking and possession of marijuana.
