This is the shocking moment a man drove around the city of Detroit and filmed what he saw. The results are utterly depressing.
In the past Detroit was famed for its incredibly successful car manufacturing industry. Now it is a crime-ridden wasteland known as one of the most ghetto cities in the U.S.
The decline of Detroit is shockingly infamous. Back in 1950, the city boasted a population of 1.9 million, whereas now there are only 700,000.
A lot of people claim Detroit has been forgotten by Capitol Hill, and this video certainly sums that up.
The short clip begins as the driver heads down what appears to be a main street; nothing much happens to begin with however there are numerous gangs on stood on the side of the road.
The clip continues as the driver heads into a scarier part of town with a small fire to the left of the road and a group of people correlating around it.
As the night moves on, the driver comes to a stop in traffic and as he does so, a young woman, thought to be a prostitute, twerks and lifts up her skirt as she does so.
Then a group of people can be heard arguing outside a liquor store when out of nowhere a car speeds towards them, running one member of the group over and driving off.
The car then returns, almost running them over again, and somebody shouts something out of the window.
All in all, the video makes for sad viewing. Detroit is a city crippled by neglect and disintegration – surely something needs to be done about what used to be one of the most thriving cities in America.
