The new cutscene – uploaded to the Xbox YouTube account – is the opening cinematic for Halo 5: Guardians’ second mission “Blue Team”, and shows Master Chief working alongside his team of Spartans II’s.
Chief and Blue Team are seen to be assaulting an unused Office of Naval Intelligence research facility that’s fallen into Covenant hands. Players will be able to take direct control of Master Chief, as well as his team – Fredric-104, Kelly-087 and Linda-058.
The cinematic shows Blue Team voicing concerns over Chief’s stability before plunging into the cold depths of space, rocketing towards the occupied research station and dispatching a room full of Covenant zealots. Ooh-rah.
Halo 5: Guardians will be released exclusively on Xbox One on 27 October.
