Just in case you didn’t know, London Pride is taking place in the capital this weekend.
With all the hate in the world at the moment, this event wasn’t just celebrating the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, it was also a symbol of love and acceptance.
And these two amazing couples sum up the spirit of the festival.
More than 100 Met police took part in the march, but two officers had an extremely important stop to make along the way.
A police officer broke ranks with his colleagues to propose to his boyfriend at Pride in London today.

Amid the carnival atmosphere, two police officers decided to pop the question to their partners as onlookers cheers- we’re happy to say that both said yes.
Pictures of the couples are now going viral on social media, after Met LGBT Network tweeted the heartwarming images.
And it’s no surprise that the Twittersphere’s hearts collectively melted after seeing the proposals:
This show of solidarity comes just two weeks after the Orlando shootings, and as a mark of respect celebrations they paused for one minute of reflection.
