It’s only been weeks since the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus went on sale, but already the rumour mill has started running wild about what the iPhone 7 might feature.
And, because Apple aficionados are always worrying about whether the next model will be faster, thinner and better than the last one, tech fans are already eagerly awaiting the 2016 release of the iPhone 7.
Unfortunately, it looks like you’ll all have a long wait for the next iPhone model.
Although there has yet to be an official announcement for when the smartphone will be unveiled and released to the public, Apple tend to launch their new kit in early September each year. So September 2016 looks like a good bet for when you can get your hands on the updated model.
In good news, however, those disappointed that this year’s new iPhones didn’t feature a brand new design, will be very pleased to hear that the iPhone 7 is expected to come with a whole new look. Leaked patents confirm that Apple have been working on curved and flexible phone designs, so many will be hoping for a radical new form for the phone.
Meanwhile, the handset will definitely be considerably slimmer than its predecessor, although hopefully not so thin it starts bending again! There are also rumours that the new casing for the phone will be waterproof, dust-proof and non-metallic.
In addition, a full HD screen is likely in order for Apple to keep up with their competitors, with yet more developments to Siri, although the camera resolution will likely remain the same.
But definitely don’t expect the iPhone 7 to come cheap. With this year’s models setting tech fans back a whopping £539 for the 16GB model, it’s pretty much a given that next year’s phone will cost substantially more. So you’d better get saving those pennies now!
