The salary the president-elect will receive is actually less than that ‘small business loan’ of a mere $1 million he received from his father when he ventured into the business world.
As reported by the International Business Times, ‘The Donald’ will receive $400,000 per year for fulfilling his role as commander in chief.
Pocket change really when you consider Trump’s net worth is estimated by Forbes at around $3.7 billion – although given he won’t share his tax return details the figure is still open to debate.
But who knows, maybe Trump could surprise us all given his enormous personal wealth.
Yes $400,000 would go a long way to covering the cost of luxuries such as fake tan, but Donald may yet follow in the footsteps of Herbert Hoover and JFK by donating the money to charity.
