Here’s How The Most Expensive Steak In The World Is Made

In this day and age there’s no shortage of amazing food-porn creations that will get you drooling, but not before you have to fork out an insane amount of money on them.

You might remember when we teased you with those golden doughnuts in Brooklyn, for example.

Well those rich treats aren’t the only ridiculously expensive things you can munch on in New York City.

In their latest YouTube video, Eater, as part of its series ‘The Meat Show’ take you on a magical meaty journey to see the most expensive slab of meat in the world.

In the video, steak connoisseur Nick Solares (no job envy whatsoever) visits Mu Ramen in Long Island City to watch chef Joshua Smookler cook up some absolute treats using A5 grade wagyu steak dry-aged for 400 days.

This steak is just extraordinary, especially when you take into consideration that steaks are usually only aged for about 28 days, maybe 35 maximum. But this rib-eye has been dry-ageing since last March.

That ageing process is exactly what makes it so eye-wateringly expensive and means this particular piece of meat would set you back thousands of pounds in a restaurant.

Solares gets to sample the steak raw, sous-vide and over sushi rice before he makes the pretty obvious conclusion that this steak tastes incredible.

I only have this to say really…

Need this steak in my life right now.
