Ingredients:
For the shortbread:
– 235g butter
– 100g caster sugar
– 1 tsp vanilla
– 250g plain flour
For the apples:
– 3 apples
– 40g plain flour
– 40g caster sugar
– ¼ tsp nutmeg
– 1 tsp cinnamon
For the crumble:
– 50g butter
– 100g plain flour
– 50g caster sugar
– 60g granola
– ½ tsp cinnamon
Method:
For the shortbread, mix together flour, sugar and salt.
Then pour in the melted butter and vanilla. Mix.
Press the shortbread into a tray. Bake for 15 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius.
Mix together the dry ingredients with the fresh apple.
And top the shortbread with the apples.
For the crumble, rub together the flour and butter with your fingertips.
And add in the flour, sugar and granola.
Pour on the crumble top. Bake for 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
Drizzle over salt caramel.
