Game of Thrones season seven is almost over and some people are probably wondering what the hell they’re going to do when it does.
We already know the final season, season eight, will only consist of six episodes – and there are already rumours the episodes may be longer in duration.
And this was then teased by HBO programming president, Casey Bloys, who said: “Two hours per episode seems like it would be excessive, but it’s a great show, so who knows?”

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister, just hinted that Game of Thrones‘s eighth and last season starts production in October.
In an interview with Collider, he revealed when he’ll see the Season 8 scripts:
I knew what was going to happen for the first three seasons. After that, it’s been a season at a time. You get the scripts a month before we start shooting, or six weeks, and then you know what’s going to happen that season.
But, I don’t know what’s going to happen next season. We go back in October, so maybe in the next few weeks, we’ll get the scripts and I’ll find out. I’m very curious.HBO HBO hasn’t confirmed an air date for season eight yet, but reports have suggested the final series could air as soon as next year, or if they want to torture us, it could come in 2019 at the latest.
