A Tesla car owner who risked his life in order to save another driver is being rewarded for his actions.
Forty-one-year-old Manfred Kick was driving his Tesla Model S when he noticed a man in a Volkswagen Passat driving erratically along Germany’s Autobahn near Munich.
When he noticed the man was unconscious, Kick pulled his car in front of the Passat and slowly braked in order to stop the car, Merkur reported. Once the Tesla driver stopped the out-of-control car, he administered first aid while others called emergency services.
The man, who appeared to have a stroke, was taken to hospital and is now stable, German police said Tuesday.
The story nearly ended well for both drivers – for Kick, there’s a total of 10,000 euros in combined damage according to Jalopnik.
And the 41-year-old would have had to pay it, if it weren’t for Elon Musk.
German police are investigating the accident, but according to a police officer handling the case, Kick is more likely to receive a reward than a fine.
Amazing work.
