A high school assistant principal from New York ‘accidentally’ appeared in a rap video featuring twerking, booze and a massive pool party. Whoops.
Esther Adler-O’Keefe is the assistant principal at Southampton High School, and caused a bit of a commotion among pupils and the school district after appearing in the video for rapper J.R.’s track Best Friend, featuring Trey Songz.
In it, she plays a homeowner who foolishly entrusts the rapper to housesit her property, for some bizarre reason, which is not explained during the video at any point. He then throws a massive party, and twerking ensues.
It didn’t take long for her pupils to notice:

The school weren’t best pleased she appeared in a video for a song that features the lyrics: “Go best friend, shake that shit. Go best friend take that dick.”
Superintendent Scott Farina said in a statement:
It has recently come to our attention that a member of our administrative
staff appeared in a music video. The video in question showcases behaviors and language use that is not promoted by the Southampton School District. In fact, we actively teach our students the importance of good character and making smart choices. Additionally, this is not representative of who we are as a district nor of our students and staff. As this is a matter of personnel, the district cannot legally comment further on this incident.
Adler-O’Keefe told the Southampton Press she was unaware of the explicit nature of the video:
Had I known of such content or lyrics, I certainly would not have participated in any fashion. I find the lyrics and content of the music video vulgar, offensive, and demeaning.
Still confused why she let him housesit in the first place.
