Celebrity Big Brother must be scraping the bottom of the barrel for contestants this year.

It looks like the show’s producers are being more than a little lenient when it comes to working out who’s a celeb, because Ben Innes, or more lovingly known as ‘hijack selfie guy’, is rumoured to be lined up for this years’ summer show.

If you don’t recognise the name, you’ll definitely recognise the face. The 27-year-old became an internet sensation after he posed with a hijacker who was thought to have a bomb belt strapped to his waist. Innes posed for what he called the ‘selfie of a lifetime’ with Seif Eldin Mustafa, who claimed to be a suicide bomber and forced the EgyptAir plane to land in Cyprus.

The first footage from inside the EgyptAir flight that was hijacked Tuesday shows the moment British passenger Ben Innes has his photograph taken with hijacker Seif Al Deen Mostafa.

The bombs weren’t real, though, and all the passengers were freed.

But whether or not the threat was fake, many people thought Innes was out of his mind. Rightly so.

And now, he could be returning to the spotlight – this time with a place in the Borehamwood bungalow.

The Mirror reports that CBB bosses want to bring his quirky personality to the show in a bid to widen the net of ‘stars’ who appear in the house, and it seems that they’re looking towards the Internet for the next big thing.

And he’s not the only viral star to be considered for the next season – ‘Road Rage’ Ronnie Pickering is also thought to be entering the house this summer.
