Tristan’s mother, Jodie Lamb, expressed her disgust to Northants Herald & Post.

She said:

I was absolutely disgusted.

I was very shocked when I saw the video and we have sent the video to Tristan’s social worker and are taking it to a solicitor next week.

I was horrified to see what had happened as previously I had a good relationship with the police and while this might be an isolated incident it has left Tristan feeling very distressed.

It is made worse as Tristan is autistic and the reason he did not want to be touched was they (the officers) were invading his space.

In a statement, Northamptonshire Police said:

We are aware of a short video circulating on social media allegedly showing Northamptonshire police officers.

We take such allegations extremely seriously and immediately referred the matter to our professional standards department as soon as we became aware of it.

An investigation is currently underway and as such it would be inappropriate for us to comment further while this takes place.
