Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past week, you’ve probably seen the footage of an old man busker performing some Grime music classics on the streets of London.
Said footage went super-viral across the UK on Wednesday, after multiple people took to social media to share their self-recorded versions after spotting the moment on Carnaby Street in central London – and it wasn’t long until the British media picked up on it.
Within an hour the story had already made it onto popular urban culture publication Complex and had been retweeted thousands of times on Twitter, but nobody really had any idea what was going on and why it had happened.
The whole incident had been purposely set up by us here at UNILAD as part of a marketing campaign for the upcoming movie Dirty Grandpa, which stars Zac Efron and legend of screen Robert De Niro and is released in the UK on January 25, 2016.
And if you haven’t yet seen the now legendary incidents, featuring classic tracks such as Stormzy’s Shut Up, Skepta’s Shut Down and In Da Club by 50 Cent, you can check them both out below…
