Six HSBC bankers have been sacked after footage emerged of them pretending to behead an Asian colleague in a mock ISIS-style video.
The incident occurred during a team building day out at a go-karting centre in Birmingham.
The Sun revealed that a video posted on Instagram, but later deleted, showed five men wearing balaclavas stood around their colleague who was dressed in an orange jumpsuit and kneeling on the ground.
In the short video, the group can be heard laughing and shouting war cries and “Allahu Akbar” (“God is great”), before one pretended to execute his prisoner with a coat hanger.
A HSBC spokesperson said:
We do not tolerate inappropriate behaviour. As soon as The Sun brought this video to our attention we took the decision to sack the individuals involved. This is an abhorrent video and HSBC would like to apologise for any offence caused.
