Last week, Hugh Jackman confirmed he had been treated for skin cancer for the sixth time.
The X-Men star took to Instagram at the time to explain doctors had found and removed another basal cell carcinoma – the fifth on his nose.
Using the opportunity to share his story with his 10 million followers, he shared a photo of his bandaged nose, writing: “Another basal cell carcinoma. Thanks to frequent body checks and amazing doctors, all is well. Looks worse with the dressing on than off. I swear!”
Now, after six bouts of the cancer, it seems Jackman is taking the opportunity to celebrate life.
Still sporting a nose bandage, the 48-year-old was seen toasting a drink to Brazil and Carnival while fulfilling promotional duties for his upcoming film Logan in the South American country.
Sharing a video of him drinking to good health, Jackman told his followers: “Thank you São Paulo, thank you Brazil. Happy Carnival! Health!”
The celebratory post comes after Jackman’s latest bout with cancer, but thanks to frequent body checks and good doctors, the actor insists he’s fine.
His advice to all of us? Wear sunscreen.
