GettyIn an incredible show of cohesion and love, a Jewish nurse breastfed a Palestinian baby boy.
The beautiful act by Ula Ostrowkski-Zak has captured the hearts of the world because of her compassionate despite the unsparing conflict between the two states.
During her shift at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital on Friday night, Ula resorted to nursing the 9-month-old boy herself after he refused a bottle, saying that ‘any mother would do it’.

The baby’s family had been in a head-on collision with a bus, killing his father and leaving the mother with a serious head injury, the Jewish Week reports.
The baby’s aunts asked Ula to help them find someone to nurse the boy, and she stepped up, volunteering to do it herself, and continue to do it five times during the next day.

Ula then posted a request for help with nursing the baby on an Israeli Facebook page for nursing mothers and received numerous responses from women willing to come to the hospital.
This gesture of kindness without borders struck a chord due to the war between Israelis and Palestinians in the Middle East.
The baby’s mother is reportedly in a serious condition.
